ABOUT ALEX SCHMIDT

     As a high school photographer, I am constantly inspired by the world around me. I strive to capture moments of beauty and emotion in my images, whether it's the simple beauty of a flower or the complex emotions of a person's face. Photography allows me to communicate in a way that words simply cannot. I see my camera as a tool for storytelling, a way to capture and preserve the world as I see it.

     I am drawn to photography because of the unique perspective it offers. Through my lens, I am able to capture details and moments that might otherwise go unnoticed. Photography also allows me to express myself creatively and push the boundaries of what I can create.

    I will be attending West Virginia University to continue my passion for photography. After my time at WVU, I hope to become a sports photographer or really any type of photographer, I enjoy all the different types of photography. Whether taking portraits, landscapes, or still-life photos, I always aim to convey a message or evoke a feeling through my work.
